Former Invicta Fighting Championships title challenger Colleen Schneider has signed a deal to compete for Bellator MMA.
Schneider recently confirmed the news following an initial report from MMAjunkie.com. While the CSW representative has competed primarily at bantamweight during her 17-bout career, she will move to the flyweight division in Bellator.
Her promotional debut is likely to come on Jan. 21 in Los Angeles at Bellator 170, a card headlined by Chael Sonnen and Tito Ortiz. Scheider does not yet have an opponent.
The 34-year-old known as “Thoroughbred” is 10-7 as a pro, with six triumphs coming inside the distance. She saw a four-fight winning streak come to an end in her most recent outing, when she lost a five-round verdict to Tonya Evinger in a 135-pound title bout at Invicta FC 17 on May 7.
