Gustafsson vs. Teixeira Official for UFC Stockholm; Three Other Bouts Added to May 28 Event

A previously reported light heavyweight showdown between Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira has been confirmed as the headliner for UFC Fight Night in Stockholm on May 28.

The Las Vegas-based promotion confirmed the pairing on Tuesday. UFC Fight Night takes place at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm and will also include the following three matchups: Magnus Cedenblad vs. Chris Camozzi at middleweight; Christian Colombo vs. Damian Grabowski at heavyweight and Jack Hermansson vs. Alex Nicholson at middleweight (latest odds).

Broadcast plans for the event were not revealed. The UFC has held four events in the country. Most recently, UFC on Fox 14 took place at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm on Jan. 24, 2015 and saw Anthony Johnson knockout out Gustfasson in front of an announced attendance of 30,000.

Gustafsson halted a two-bout skid in his last outing, as he earned a unanimous decision over Jan Blachowicz at UFC Fight Night 93 on Sept. 3. The two-time light heavyweight title challenger is 9-4 during his promotional tenure.

Teixeira, meanwhile, has won four of his last five Octagon appearances, with his only setback during that time being a first-round knockout loss to Johnson at UFC 202. Teixeira, who came up short in a 205-pound title bid against Jon Jones at UFC 172, last appeared at UFC 208, where he earned a decision win over prospect Jared Cannonier in a featured bout.
