Ian McCall to Lock Horns with John Lineker at UFC Fight Night in Brazil on Nov. 8

A flyweight bout with title implications has been added to the UFC Fight Night lineup in Brazil on Nov. 8.

The promotion announced Thursday that Ian McCall will clash with John Lineker at the event, which takes place at the Tancredo Neves Municipal Gymnasium in Uberlandia, Brazil. The card also includes a light heavyweight tilt between Ovince St. Preux and Rafael Cavalcante.

McCall has climbed back to contender status on the strength of back-to-back triumphs over Iliarde Santos and Brad Pickett in his last two outings. “Uncle Creepy” had current flyweight king Demetrious Johnson reeling at UFC on FX 2 in March 2012, but a tabulation error resulted in the bout being scored a draw instead of going to a fourth, sudden-victory round. McCall would lose a unanimous decision to “Mighty Mouse” in their rematch at UFC on FX 3.

After dropping his debut to Louis Gaudinot, Linker has won five of his six fights inside the Octagon, including a third-round TKO against Alptekin Ozkilic in his last fight on July 16. The Brazilian known as “Hands of Stone” has struggled making the flyweight limit in the past, but he was on point for his showdown with Ozkilic.
