Lorenz Larkin’s second welterweight bout in the UFC will take place at "The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4" finale on June 27.
Promotion officials on Saturday announced that the Strikeforce veteran will square off against Santiago Ponzinibbio on June 27 in Sao Paulo. The event will also include the bantamweight and lightweight finals from the reality show.
After a rough stint at middleweight that concluded with consecutive losses to Brad Tavares, Costas Philippou and Derek Brunson, Larkin elected to drop to 170 pounds. That move proved to be successful, as “The Monsoon” stopped John Howard via technical knockout in the opening frame at UFC Fight Night “McGregor vs. Siver.”
Ponzinibbio, meanwhile, enters the bout riding a two-fight winning streak. The Argentina native scored a first-round knockout against Wendell de Oliveira Marques this past September before outpointing Sean Strickland in his most recent outing at UFC Fight Night “Bigfoot vs. Mir.”
