Octagon Newcomers Hougland, Walker Join UFC 132 Draw

Twelve fights have now been announced for UFC 132 “Cruz vs. Faber 2,” as Jeff Hougland and Donny Walker will make their Octagon debuts in a bantamweight clash at the July 2 event.

UFC 132 will go down from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will feature a main event between bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and the only man to ever best him -- Urijah Faber. The event will also showcase a potentially explosive middleweight duel between sluggers Wanderlei Silva and Chris Leben, as well as a pivotal welterweight attraction pitting former WEC champion Carlos Condit against Dong Hyun Kim.

Hougland (Pictured; file photo) rides an eight-fight winning streak heading into his showdown with Walker. The Washingtonian’s most notable bout came in 2003, when he was stopped in the second round by future Strikeforce lightweight king Gilbert Melendez at WEC 6. “Hellbound” has submitted all but two of his career victims and has only been to a decision once in his eight years as a professional.

Like his foe, Walker has also faced some tough competition since debuting in 2004, dropping contests to WEC veteran Jeff Curran and current UFC talent Cub Swanson before putting together his current seven-fight winning streak. “Eagle Eye” earned four wins in 2010, taking out Bellator Fighting Championships veteran Kenny Foster and former Strikeforce competitor Billy Vaughan in the process.
