Warlley Alves-Alan Jouban, 2 More Bouts Added to UFC Fight Night ‘Shogun vs. Manuwa’

The lineup for UFC Fight Night “Shogun vs. Manuwa” has grown by three fights with the inclusion of Warlley Alves versus Alan Jouban, Caio Magalhaes versus Trevor Smith, and Colby Covington versus Wagner Silva.

UFC officials announced the bookings on Wednesday. The card takes place Nov. 8 at Tancredo Neves Municipal Gymnasium in Uberlandia, Brazil, and is headlined by a light heavyweight tilt between Mauricio Rua and Jimi Manuwa.

Welterweights Alves and Jouban will look to push their records in the UFC to 2-0. Alves comes off an impressive submission of Marcio Alexandre Jr. to win “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3” middleweight tournament. Meanwhile, Jouban finished Seth Baczynski in the “Fight of the Night” at UFC Fight Night “Bader vs. St. Preux.”

Magalhaes utilized a body shot to defeat Luke Zachrich at UFC on Fox 11, pushing his present winning streak to three in a row. Smith earned a unanimous decision victory over Tor Troeng at UFC Fight Night “McGregor vs. Brandao.”

Covington is undefeated as a professional, impressing in his promotional debut by finishing Anying Wang via punches at UFC Fight Night “Bisping vs. Le.” Silva is on the opposite end of the spectrum, coming into the Las Vegas-based company and suffering a loss via submission at UFC Fight Night “Miocic vs. Maldonado.”
