The two trade a few combinations, feeling each other out. Guthmiller forces the clinch, then to the fence. Ritch attempts a throw, only to be reversed. Ritch was able to land with Guthmiller in his guard. Ritch wiggled around under Guthmiller for a moment, then spun under him securing an armbar in the process. Guthmiller’s arm tight, but still not tapping, the referee called the fight. The crowd goes wild, booing the referee for the stoppage. Later in the night, Guthmiller came back into the cage, this time with a microphone in his hand instead of the gloves he previously wore. Guthmiller told the crowd, that all though he did not tap, that was in fact caught, and it was a good stoppage. Then he applauded Ritch for the win.
