GSP vs. Penn II
is set for UFC 94.
“Primetime" wraps, Penn vs. GSP set

The Ultimate Fighting Championship wrapped up the most expensive marketing campaign for a fight in its history this week, as the third and final episode of "UFC Primetime" aired on Spike TV and principals Georges St. Pierre and B.J. Penn worked the media circuit in Las Vegas. "Primetime" showcased both fighters wrapping up training in their homeland, as Penn ran with rocks underwater for anaerobic conditioning, while St. Pierre sparred hard with UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans. The closing scenes, in slow motion and set to music, documented both fighters bidding farewell to hometown supporters and heading to the airport.

The third episode of “Primetime” scored the lowest rating of the series, an average of 662,000 viewers according to MMAPayout.com. That’s down from the 880,000 average in week one and 825,000 in week two, but the overall average is an encouraging amount of viewers for such focused hype. UFC President Dana White compared the fight in appearances this week to the Marvin Hagler vs. Thomas Hearns boxing classic from the 80s, and has said the fight would do the most pay-per-view buys in UFC history.

All fighters on the UFC 94 card from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas made weight on Friday. The show is sold out.
