By The Numbers: UFC 286 Pre-Fight Edition

Leon Edwards will complete his trilogy with Kamaru Usman when he defends his undisputed Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight crown in the UFC 286 headliner on Saturday at the O2 Arena in London. Meanwhile, former World Series of Fighting champion Justin Gaethje looks to rebound from a May 7 submission defeat to Charles Oliveira, as he locks horns with Rafael Fiziev in the three-round lightweight co-main event at 155 pounds.

As UFC 285 “Edwards vs. Usman 3” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the card bring to the table:

9: Countries in which Fiziev has plied his mixed martial arts trade. He has gone 4-0 in the United States, 2-0 in South Korea, 1-0 in China, 1-0 in Kyrgyzstan, 1-0 in Thailand, 1-0 in his native Kazakhstan, 1-0 in Singapore, 1-0 in the United Arab Emirates and 0-1 in Russia.

5: First-round finishes on the Bryan Barberena resume, with two of them having taken place inside the Octagon. He buried Joe Proctor with punches and knees in 3:30 at UFC Fight Night 108 and brought down Jake Ellenberger with punches at UFC Fight Night 135. Barberena meets Gunnar Nelson in a three-round welterweight showcase.

12: Nelson wins by submission, accounting for 67% of his career total (18). His methods of choice: seven rear-naked chokes, two armbars, two guillotine chokes and one neck crank. Nelson owns four other wins by knockout or technical knockout (22%) and two more by decision (11%).

652: Days spent by Jennifer Maia as Invicta Fighting Championships flyweight titleholder. She was promoted to undisputed champion on Sept. 22, 2016, then made successful title defenses against Roxanne Modafferi and Aga Niedzwiedz before vacating the throne to sign with the UFC on July 7, 2018. Maia faces the unbeaten Casey O’Neill in a three-round attraction at 125 pounds.

152: Seconds needed for O’Neill to dispatch Jada Ketley with a rear-naked choke under the Eternal MMA banner on July 27, 2019. Nearly four years later, it remains her fastest finish to date.

150,000: Dollars in post-fight bonuses banked by Marvin Vettori across his 13 appearances in the UFC. The Kings MMA rep has been awarded “Performance of the Night” twice and “Fight of the Night” once. Vettori confronts the once-beaten Roman Dolidze in a three-round middleweight feature.
