Some five years later, Ronaldo Souza still has Derek Brunson’s number.

In his first Octagon appearance since April, “Jacare” showed he remains a serious contender in the middleweight division, as he defeated Brunson via knockout in the UFC on Fox 27 headliner on Saturday night at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C. A right high kick from the 38-year-old Brazilian sent Brunson stumbling toward the cage, and a pair of follow-up punches sealed the victory 3:50 into round one.

Here is a by-the-numbers look at UFC on Fox 27, with statistics courtesy of FightMetric.com.
