Not many people outside of Robert Whittaker’s inner circle like his chances. That may be all the support he needs to spring a career-defining upset.

“The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes” winner will attempt to reclaim the undisputed Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight crown when he rematches Israel Adesanya in the UFC 271 headliner on Saturday at the Toyota Center in Houston. Meanwhile, hometown hero Derrick Lewis takes on Tai Tuivasa in a three-round heavyweight co-main event that virtually no one expects to go the distance.

UFC 271 “Adesanya vs. Whittaker 2”—which streams live to ESPN+ pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT—also features a middleweight tilt pairing Jared Cannonier with Derek Brunson, a bantamweight affair pitting Kyler Phillips against Marcelo Rojo and a lightweight clash matching Nasrat Haqparast with Bobby Green. ESPN (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT) and UFC Fight Pass (6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT) are scheduled to share coverage of the undercard, a heavyweight duel between Andrei Arlovski and Jared Vanderaa highlighting the nine-fight preliminary slate.
