Top 5: Randy Brown Finishes
Limitations are few with Randy Brown.
The former Ring of Combat titleholder boosted his stock in the Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight division when he dispatched “The Ultimate Fighter Brazil” Season 3 winner Warlley Alves with a triangle choke in the second round of their UFC Fight Night 164 prelim on Nov. 16, 2019 at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil. An accomplished Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, Alvez capitulated 1:22 into Round 2. It remains the only submission defeat of his 22-fight career.

Ahead of Brown’s looming showdown with Gabriel Bonfim in the UFC on ESPN 73 headliner this Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, his stunning submission of Alves still ranks as one of his most memorable finishes. Four more to consider:
Randy Brown vs. Brian Camozzi
Dec. 9, 2016 | Albany, New York
Brown flexed his standup skills when he took out the organizational newcomer with a knee strike and follow-up punches in the second round of their welterweight prelim at Times Union Center. The end came 1:25 into Round 2. Brown buzzed the Factory X standout with a multi-strike volley in the first round, extricated himself from an attempted armbar and opened a cut on the bridge of the Colorado-based competitor’s nose with a standing-to-ground right hand. Early in the middle stanza, he caught Camozzi in a front headlock along the fence, sent a knee crashing into his temple and pounced with punches for the finish. The setback halted Camozzi’s run of five straight wins.
Randy Brown vs. Alex Oliveira
April 24, 2021 | Jacksonville, Florida
Brown rebounded from a knockout loss to Vicente Luque some eight months earlier when he put away the Brazilian with a rear-naked choke in the first round of their featured prelim at Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena. Oliveira clocked out 2:50 into Round 1. “Cowboy” chipped away at Brown with a series of kicks to his lower lead leg but could only keep him at bay for so long. The Budokan Martial Arts Academy product zapped Oliveira with a straight right hand, chased him to the canvas and pursued a stoppage with ground-and-pound. The ATS Team rep withstood the initial barrage, only to find the proverbial walls closing in around him. Brown locked in a standing rear-naked choke and fell back to the canvas, and while he never managed to connect his hands, his one-arm squeeze proved to be enough to prompt the tapout.
Randy Brown vs. Muslim Salikhov
Feb. 3, 2024 | Las Vegas
Brown felled the “King of Kung Fu” with punches in the first round of their welterweight showcase at the UFC Apex. Salikhov succumbed to blows 3:17 into Round 1, suffering just his second knockout loss as a pro. The Russian closed the distance with crushing leg kicks but could not give them enough time to marinate. Brown doubled up with jabs, then followed them with a brutal right cross. Salikhov absorbed the concussive impact, hit the deck, turtled in a defensive shell and ate a standing-to-ground right hand before referee Kerry Hatley arrived on the scene. The victory brought with it Brown’s second $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus as a member of the UFC roster.
Randy Brown vs. Nicolas Dalby
April 26, 2025 | Kansas City, Missouri
Brown punched out the notoriously durable former Cage Warriors Fighting Championship titleholder in the second round of their welterweight attraction at T-Mobile Center. Finished for the first time in his 32-fight career, Dalby bowed out 1:39 into Round 2. The 34-year-old Brown peppered the Dane with a consistent jab and left him with a badly mangled nose courtesy of a sweeping right hook in the first round. Dalby went out on his shield. Brown clipped him with two clubbing rights early in the middle stanza and set off a wild exchange in the center of the cage. “Rudeboy” kept his composure under return fire and found the off switch with a devastating right hook. Dalby faceplanted, the victim of one of the most memorable knockouts of the year.
