Alessio Di Chirico Withdraws from UFC Fight Night London Bout vs. Tom Breese

Alessio Di Chirico has announced that he has withdrawn from a proposed UFC Fight Night London bout against Tom Breese.

The middleweight bout, previously reported by Sherdog.com, was scheduled to take place at the O2 Arena in London on March 16. The Las Vegas-based promotion never formally announced the pairing.

“Manzo” was forced to withdraw from the fight in order to undergo surgery for undisclosed reasons. The Gloria Fight Center representative is riding a two-bout winning streak after knocking out Oluwale Bamgbose at UFC on Fox 26 and taking a split verdict against Julian Marquez at “The Ultimate Fighter 27” finale.

“Unfortunately, I have to write this and to announce you that I’m out of my fight in March,” Di Chirico wrote on Instagram. “I have a thousand words to say, but I prefer to shut up and let my actions speak. We will see again inside the Octagon, I’m coming back soon.”
