Amanda Nunes ‘Ready for Either’ Felicia Spencer, Megan Anderson Following UFC Norfolk

Two-division champion Amanda Nunes wants to defend her featherweight title next, and it appears she has two worthy contenders in waiting.

Nunes has reportedly targeted UFC 250 for a defense of the 145-pound belt she took from Cristiane Justino in December 2018. On Saturday at UFC Fight Night 169 in Norfolk, Va., both Felicia Spencer and Megan Anderson made a case to be considered the No. 1 contender for that crown.

Spencer overwhelmed Zarah Fairn dos Santos in the evening’s co-main event, earning a technical knockout stoppage at the 3:37 mark of Round 1 due to punches and elbows from mount, while Anderson scored an impressive one-punch KO of Norma Dumont Viana 3:31 into the opening stanza of their featured 145-pound bout.

After viewing both fights, Nunes doesn’t seem to have a preference in opponents. Instead, she’ll leave it in the hands of the Las Vegas-based promotion.

“I like both winners tonight,” Nunes wrote on Twitter. “Now it’s up to [UFC president Dana White]. I’m ready for either.”

Since capturing featherweight gold, Nunes has successful defended her bantamweight title with victories over Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie in 2019. The 31-year-old Brazilian is current on a 10-bout winning streak in the UFC.
