“I immediately asked for a rematch with [the UFC] and they have released me after dropping 3 losses in a row. I'm thankful for the opportunities afforded to me through my journey with [UFC] and am currently headed to the gym to train for my next win,” Magana wrote.

After her loss to Cooper, Magana took to social media to accuse referee Keith Peterson of sexism for stopping the bout too early. The contest was stopped 4:34 into round two as Cooper landed unanswered punches from back mount. All told, Cooper held a 131 to 17 advantage in total strikes landed during the contest.
I lost the fight but not the war. She had nothing on her feet for me, no submission skills, couldn't knock me out, she over powered me(that's an easy fix) and the ref was sexist #equalrightsinfights #letmegooutmyshield #womensrights

I'm advocating that women walk into the cage with a strapon in their shorts to confuse the refs so we are actually allowed to fight with out early stoppages #ufc218

Including fights outside the UFC, Magana has not won a bout since August 2011. She became something of a controversial figure on “The Ultimate Fighter 20” and continued to capitalize on that persona via social media.
Earlier this year, a social media feud between Magana and featherweight queen Cristiane Justino got physical when “Cyborg” punched Magana in the face at the UFC’s Athlete Retreat. Magana provoked Cyborg with a tweet comparing the Brazilian to the Jigsaw character from the “Saw” franchise.
The 34-year-old Magana owns an 11-9 professional record that includes notable victories over Barb Honchak and Jessica Aguilar.
