The 28-year-old Allen has lost just once in 19 professional outings. The Englishman is 9-0 in the Las Vegas-based promotion and is coming off a first-round technical knockout victory against Dan Hooker at UFC Fight Night 204 on March 19. His record includes other notable wins against the likes of Sodiq Yusuff, Gilbert Melendez, Nik Lentz and Mads Burnell. This will be Allen’s first five-round main event in the UFC.
Kattar, meanwhile, has been in four consecutive headlining bouts — all of which have gone the full five rounds. “The Boston Finisher” is 2-2 in those contests, including a narrow split-decision defeat to Josh Emmett in his last outing at UFC on ESPN 37 on June 18. Kattar’s resume features victories against Giga Chikadze, Dan Ige, Jeremy Stephens, Ricardo Lamas and Shane Burgos, to name a few.
