Bellator 190 Weigh-in Results: Rafael Carvalho, Alessio Sakara Cleared for Title Clash in Italy

Hostile territory awaits Rafael Carvalho.

Carvalho tipped the scales at 184.6 pounds, as he readies himself to defend the Bellator MMA middleweight championship against American Top Team-trained Italian Alessio Sakara (184.2) in the Bellator 190 headliner on Saturday at the Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence, Italy. Meanwhile, Brandon Girtz (156) and Luka Jelcic (155.6) also met the mandatory weight requirements for their lightweight co-main event without incident at Friday’s official weigh-in.

Bellator 190 “Carvalho vs. Sakara” -- which airs on Spike at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT -- also features a women’s flyweight affair pairing Lena Ovchynnikova (124.4) with Alejandra Lara (125) and a lightweight encounter pitting Mihail Nica (155.6) against Carlos Miranda (156).
