Bellator 286 Weigh-in Results: Title Fight Official; 2 Fighters Miss Weight

The Bellator MMA featherweight championship is on the line in the main event of Bellator 286.

Featherweight champion Patricio Freire will put his belt on the line against top contender Adam Borics. The fight is now official with both fighters making weight. However, multiple other fighters failed to make weight as Spike Carlyle weighed in at 156.6 pounds for his lightweight co-headliner against A.J. McKee. Additionally, Dominic Clark came in at 158.2 pounds for his lightweight preliminary contest against Lance Gibson, and the bantamweight bout between Juan Archuleta and Enrique Barzola was shifted to a 141-pound catchweight.

"Pitbull" recently bounced back from a shocking submission defeat to McKee by defeating the brash American in a rematch. The Brazilian had previously won seven straight fights. Freire (33-5) officially weighed 144.6 pounds.

Looking to gain the title, Borics (18-1) is riding a four-fight win streak. In his last outing, Borics went five rounds with Mads Burnell and emerged with a unanimous decision victory. His only professional defeat came to Darrion Caldwell in January 2020. "The Kid" stepped on the scale weighing 145 pounds.

The Bellator 286 main card will air live on Showtime at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on Saturday. The prelims begin three hours prior on YouTube at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
