Car Accident Forces Frank Camacho Out of UFC 263; McKinney Steps in vs. Frevola

A car accident has forced Frank Camacho out of a scheduled showdown against Matt Frevola at UFC 263 on Saturday.

As a result, Terrance McKinney will now step in and face Frevola in the lightweight bout. Camacho’s injuries are not believed to be serious. MMA DNA first brought word of Camacho’s exit from the card, and confirmed the new matchup.

UFC 263 takes place at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz., and is headlined by a middleweight championship clash between Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori. In the co-main event, Deiveson Figueiredo puts the flyweight belt on the line in a rematch against Brandon Moreno.

McKinney previously came up short in a bid to earn a UFC deal when he suffered a second-round knockout loss to Sean Woodson on Dana White’s Contender Series in July 2019. He enters his Octagon debut on a three-bout winning streak that includes a pair of first-round finishes under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner.

Frevola had a two-fight winning streak snapped in his last outing, as he dropped a unanimous verdict to Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 257 on Jan. 23.
