Chris Camozzi will lock horns with Olympic judoka Daniel Kelly at UFC Fight Night 101 in Melbourne on Nov. 27.
Promotion officials confirmed the middleweight pairing on Wednesday. The news comes just one day after Australia native Kelly’s participation -- sans opponent -- was confirmed for the card. UFC Fight Night takes place at Rod Laver Arena and is headlined by a rematch between Luke Rockhold and Ronaldo Souza.
Camozzi had a three-fight winning streak snapped in a third-round submission loss to Thales Leites at UFC Fight Night “Rodriguez vs. Caceres” on Aug. 6. The 32-year-old Colorado native is 9-8 over the course of three separate Octagon tenures.
Kelly has been victorious in four of his five UFC appearances thus far. The 38-year-old enters the matchup with Camozzi on the strength of back-to-back triumphs over Antonio Carlos Jr. and Steve Montgomery.
