Dana White: With More Experience, Megan Anderson Can Become A UFC Star

Megan Anderson hasn’t had the best start to her Ultimate Fighting Championship career, starting off with a one-sided loss to former bantamweight champion Holly Holm before winning a controversial fight over Cat Zingano in December.

The 29-year-old Aussie took on Zingano at UFC 232 and landed a kick to the face of Zingano early in the fight which scratched Zingano’s cornea, forcing the referee to stop the fight. Anderson returns to action this weekend at UFC Fight Night 152 in Rochester, New York when she takes on Felicia Spencer. Like Anderson, Spencer is a former Invicta FC featherweight champion, and will be making her promotional debut on Saturday night.

UFC President Dana White told New York Upstate that Anderson has a lot of potential in the UFC but needs more fights in the promotion to show what she can really do.

“What she needs is experience,” said White, adding, “She needs to continue to fight and get that experience. She’s very talented and could definitely be something.”
