David Zawada may be 0-2 in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, but the German has not lost confidence in his skills.

He still believes he can beat anyone in the world at any given time. At UFC Fight Night 163, Zawada will take on Abubakar Nurmagomedov, the cousin of UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Zawada believes it will be an entertaining fight.

“This is who they offered me and I’m ready to compete. They offered me Nurmagomedov in Russia and for me it is very good,” Zawada said to Sherdog. “The name is also very nice, but he is a very good wrestler and a good striker. It will be a good MMA fight and I’m ready for anything.”

The 29-year-old knows his back is against the wall, as he is fighting for his job and doing so in enemy territory. Yet, he says if the crowd boos him, it will only motivate him even more.

“I think the crowd will be for him and will be booing me,” Zawada said. "He’s from Russia and I’m the underdog and I come from a different country, but it will only motivate me in the cage.”

Zawada is confident he will get his hand raised and remain on the UFC roster.

“This is a big one. I’m 0-2, although I performed good and had fun fights. I want to end the year with the win, but this is very important to stay in the UFC,” Zawada said. “I feel no pressure, though. I’m ready and when I’m ready to compete. With a full camp I can beat everybody and I will show it in the fight.”
