According to TMZ Sports, the UFC and Strikeforce veteran known as “Mayhem” was arrested for allegedly choking a fan at the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood on Aug. 29. According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department records, Miller was arrested on Aug. 30 at 5 a.m. on a misdemeanor charge before being released on bail at 11:25 a.m.

The incident allegedly began when a fan approached Miller to say hello but a “verbal confrontation” ensued, according to the report. From there, Miller was accused of putting the fan in a chokehold before security intervened to separate the two parties.

Miller reportedly left before law enforcement arrived on the scene, but he returned to the club the next day. The police were called by someone who recognized the former fighter, and Miller was subsequently arrested. The case is still under investigation as detectives review footage of the incident, according to the report.

Miller, 42, had served time in prison from June 2022 to May 2023 due to charges of felony domestic violence and resisting arrest in 2021. He was also involved in a bar fight in San Fernando, Calif., where he allegedly broke a man’s ribs later that year, an incident that resulted in felony charges of battery and assault.

The former “Bully Beatdown” host has a lengthy history of run-ins with the law. Previously, Miller was charged with multiple felonies including first-degree burglary and grand theft auto, in which he pleaded not guilty when brought to trial. He was also taken in for a charge of felony vandalism, which rose to that level when he caused a certain dollar amount of damage. Other prior incidents include breaking into a church nude causing damage, and a guilty plea for domestic violence to a spouse or cohabitant that put him on probation.

Miller owns a 23-10 career mark in MMA over the course of a professional tenure that began in 2001. He last competed on May 21, 2016, falling to Mattia Schiavolin via submission at Venator FC 3.
