Fight Nights Global 68 Weigh-ins: Pavlovich, Mokhnatkin Cleared for Heavyweight Title Tilt

The vacant heavyweight title is up for grabs in the main event of Fight Nights Global 68, which takes place on Friday at the Yubileyniy Sports Center in St. Petersburg, Russia. Mikhail Mokhnatkin will lock horns with Sergey Pavlovich for the strap and the two hulking beasts made it official at Thursday’s weigh-ins.

Pavlovich was supposed to have already taken on Mokhnatkin back in March, but the scrap was canned when the unbeaten Pavlovich had to deal with a family emergency. But everything is a go as they both came in looking as fierce as ever. Mokhnatkin weighed in at 231 pounds while Pavlovich checked in at a heavier 249.1.

Longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship and Strikeforce veteran Antonio Silva will fight Vitaly Minakov in the co-feature. Silva scaled in at a massive 286.6 pounds while Minakov, still giant in his own right, came in nearly 20 pounds lighter at 269.1.

Fight Nights Global will be streaming live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT.
