Eye’s UFC career has been anything but consistent, recording just a single victory in her first seven tries inside the Octagon. A drop down to flyweight in 2018 prompted a three-fight win streak that culminated in a title shot against Valentina Shevchenko, but that was not meant to be when Shevchenko leveled her early into the second round in 2019. “Evil Eye” has struggled of late, missing weight on multiple occasions while recording just one win among three defeats since the championship opportunity. In her last 12 fights, the only one that did not end up in the hands of the judges was her loss to Shevchenko.
Like Eye, Lee is no stranger to the judges, with just one of her last seven bouts ending inside the distance. Lee too was embroiled in a lengthy skid that saw her drop consecutive decisions to Joanne Calderwood, Lauren Murphy and Roxanne Modafferi across 2019 and 2020. “KGB” snapped this stretch with a triangle armbar submission of Antonina Shevchenko in May.
The UFC event on Nov. 13 will likely take place inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The expected headliner is a much-anticipated featherweight tilt between Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez. Other matches on the card include a heavyweight encounter between Philipe Lins and Ovince St. Preux, while Lando Vannata squares off with Tucker Lutz at lightweight.
