Kai Kara-France will take on Mark De La Rosa in a flyweight clash in Shenzhen, China, on Aug. 31, the UFC announced Wednesday.
Kara-France is on a seven-fight winning streak that includes a pair of wins inside the Octagon. He made his debut in December, when he beat Elias Garcia by decision at UFC Fight Night 142 and then followed that up by beating Raulian Paiva by split-decision at UFC 234. UFC Shenzhen marks the first time Kara-France will make the walk to the Octagon outside of Australia.
De La Rosa lost to Alex Perez by decision last time out at UFC on ESPN 2 in Philadelphia. Before that, he beat Joby Sanchez by decision at UFC Denver and Elias Garcia by submission at UFC Boise. In his Octagon debut, the 24-year-old lost to Tim Elliott by submission at UFC 219.
UFC Shenzhen goes down on Aug. 31 and is headlined by a strawweight title fight between Jessica Andrade and Weili Zhang.
