Kevin Holland Tops Limited Disclosed Salary List from UFC 291 in Salt Lake City
Only a handful of fighters elected to reveal their payouts from UFC 291 following a change in policy from the Pete Suazo Utah Athletic Commission.

No other salaries were released, as the commission revealed that it entered into “confidentiality agreements” with athletes competing at UFC 291 ahead of the event. According to a statement from Utah commission executive director Scott Bowler, which was obtained by MMAjunkie.com, the fighters “expressed valid concerns regarding the public disclosure of the compensation amount in bout agreements, because public disclosure of their purse amounts will negatively impact their individual ability to negotiate compensation or purse amounts for future events.”
A full list of salaries was released in August 2022 from UFC 278,
the last event to be held in Salt Lake City. Those payouts were
reportedly disclosed despite objections from Bowler.
Note: The disclosed purses reported by state athletic commissions do not include any performance-based or discretionary bonuses that may be awarded to a fighter by the promotion. Additionally, the reported figures do not reflect any deductions made by the commission for taxes, insurance, etc., and do not include any sponsorship money that a fighter may acquire for their performance.
UFC 291 Disclosed Salaries:
Bobby Green: $300,000 (includes $150,000 win bonus)
Kevin Holland: $356,000 (includes $178,000 win bonus)
Gabriel Bonfim: $24,000 (includes $12,000 win bonus)
C.J. Vergara: $60,000 (includes $30,000 win bonus)
*Only fighters who elected not to sign a confidentiality agreement before UFC 291 had their salaries released.
