Nick Newell to Meet Manny Muro at Bellator 232 in Connecticut

Nick Newell will lock horns with Luis "Manny" Muro at Bellator 232.

Sherdog.com confirmed the booking with a promotion official following an initial report from ESPN. Newell vs Muro will be contested at a 160-pound catchweight. Bellator 232 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., on Oct. 26 and features the finale of the welterweight grand prix, as Rory MacDonald defends his title in a rematch with Douglas Lima.

A congenital amputee who is missing the lower half of his left arm, Newell earned a multi-fight contract with the California-based promotion after submitting Corey Browning in the opening stanza at Bellator 225. The Milford, Conn., native is 16-2 over the course of a professional tenure that includes appearances with Dana White’s Contender Series, Legacy Fighting Alliance, World Series of Fighting and XFC.

“Manny” Muro has lost three of his last four fights. He made his lone promotional appearance at Bellator 184, where he took a decision against Emmanuel Rivera in October 2017.
