One FC Announces ‘Warrior’s Way’ Event for Dec. 5, Brandon Vera to Debut

One Fighting Championshipcontinues to book cards throughout Asia, as the promotion on Wednesday announced a Dec. 5 card to be held in the Philippines.

The promotion announced the event during a press conference in Manila. One FC 23 “Warrior’s Way” will take place at the Mall of Asia Arena and will also feature the promotional debut of former UFC contender Brandon Vera.

“I am so excited to compete in Manila for the first time for One FC,” Vera said during the press conference. “The fans in the Philippines have been behind me my entire career, and I want to repay their faith by giving them an exciting performance and bringing my best into the One FC cage for a victorious debut this December.”

Shortly after Vera signed with the promotion in July, there was talk that his debut would take place at 205 pounds. However, it was announced on Wednesday that Vera’s first appearance with the largest mixed martial arts organization in Asia will come at heavyweight.

Potential foes for Vera in the One FC heavyweight division include fighters such as James McSweeney, Chi Lewis Parry and Paul Cheng.
