A former King of the Cage title holder, Strickland is currently on a six-bout winning streak within the Las Vegas-based promotion. The 31-year-old California native is coming off back-to-back headlining appearances in which he earned a split-decision triumph over Jack Hermansson at UFC Fight Night 200 and a unanimous verdict against Uriah Hall at UFC on ESPN 28.
Pereira improved to 2-0 in the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 203, where he defeated ex-M-1 Global champ Bruno Silva via unanimous decision. The former two-division Glory champion is probably best known for his pair of victories against reigning UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in kickboxing competition. He’s won his last five professional MMA bouts.
