The South Dakota Athletic Commission recently released a list of medical suspensions from the event to Sherdog.com on Friday. UFC Fight Night took place at the Denny Sanford Premier Center and saw Lineker drop McDonald twice en to a knockout victory 2:43 into the opening round of their bantamweight encounter.
Meanwhile, Tony Ferguson and Landon Vannata both received 30-day suspensions following their entertaining scrap in the co-main event, which Ferguson won via brabo choke in the second round. Further details regarding any of the suspensions were not revealed.
Four other fighters who competed at the UFC’s first-ever event in South Dakota received 60-day layoffs: Alexey Oleinik, Ben Nguyen, Cristina Stanciu and Devin Clark. Prior to 2013, there was no regulating body to sanction combat sports in the state until the South Dakota House of Representatives approved a bill to create an athletic commission.
