UFC on ESPN 9 Salaries: Tyron Woodley Earns Event-High $200K in Defeat

Woodley, a former UFC champion, earned $200,000 in a unanimous decision loss to Gilbert Burns ($168,000) in Saturday’s welterweight headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The Nevada State Athletic Commission released salaries from the event on Monday.
Two other fighters from Saturday’s card garnered six-figure
paydays: Augusto
Sakai ($100,000), who captured a split verdict against Blagoy
Ivanov ($60,000) in a heavyweight contest, and former flyweight
title challenger Katlyn
Chookagian ($124,000), who scored a dominant decision triumph
over Antonina
Shevchenko ($35,000) in a preliminary affair.
