Beatdown: Urijah Faber

Monday remarked the return of TJ De Santis and Jeff Sherwood to the Sherdog Radio Network for another edition of “Beatdown.” Joining them on today’s broadcast was former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber.

“The California Kid” was in action in Anaheim, California part of the UFC 157 card. The Team Alpha Male product was victorious in the first round Saturday defeating Ivan Menjivar by rear-naked choke. The Sacramento based fighter joined TJ and Jeff to talk about the submission victory; changes made to his coaching staff, and if those changes will lead him back to a title. Faber also commented on if he feels champion Dominick Cruz should be striped of the UFC bantamweight title due to inactivity. He also chats about what might be next for him in the UFC and talks about a potential super fight with former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar.

De Santis and Sherwood recap other action from UFC 157, get listener thoughts about the event, and discuss the appeal of Ronda Rousey going forward.
