Thursday on "Beatdown" TJ De Santis and Sherdog.com editor Josh Gross roll commercial free with a jam-packed show, filling over an hour and 15 minutes with more content than Santa can cram in his bag.
It's a small holiday gift from the Sherdog Radio Network.
Our final show before Christmas highlights Frank Trigg (Pictures)'s efforts with his favorite charity, Quinton Jackson (Pictures) enjoying the coming New Year, Full Contact Fighter's Eduardo Alonso getting in-depth on December 31's Silva-Arona II clash and several listener phone calls discussing their end-of-the-year awards.
FCF's Alonso joins us from Brazil to talk about the PRIDE New Year's show. We dive into deep conversation about Silva-Arona II and touch on Henderson-Bustamante II as well.
Trigg has had a tough 2005. Losing two tough fights to Matt Hughes (Pictures) and Georges St. Pierre (Pictures), both by rear-naked choke, Trigg looks to get back on track in 2006. His first chance to do that is in the Rumble on the Rock 175-pound Grand Prix. Trigg speaks about his first-round opponent Ronald Jhun (Pictures), which fighter he feels he will meet in the finals, and his new postion with PRIDE/DSE as a color commentator.
Quinton Jackson (Pictures) is one of the most entertaining fighters to step into a PRIDE ring. From his personality to his slams, no other fighter has the style of "Rampage." The last 18 months have been rough on Quinton: dropping fights to Wanderlei Silva (Pictures) and Mauricio Rua (Pictures), and winning a close decision over Murilo Rua (Pictures). Jackson got back on the winning track at PRIDE 30 with a stoppage over Hirotaka Yokoi (Pictures). Quinton speaks with us regarding his future with PRIDE, why he turned down a fight on this year's "Shockwave" card, and his new training camp.
Also on we take listener calls discussing your favorite MMA moments of 2005.
Step up and get "Beatdown" on The Sherdog Radio Network.
