UFC 226 Highlight Video: Khalil Rountree Knocks Out Gokhan Saki

Jul 7, 2018

Gokhan Saki made his return to the Octagon with a massive groundswell of hype and for good measure. He’s a veteran of K-1 and Glory and has scored nearly 60 knockouts in his kickboxing career.

But opponent Khalil Rountree was never fazed by any of that and wound up flattening the Turk just 96 seconds into their match, which kicked off the UFC 226 pay-per-view telecast. Saki was measured, looking to set up his vaunted left hook behind a right high kick, but the TUF 23 veteran flattened “The Rebel” with a single left straight through the guard. Saki fell flat on his back once the punch landed and the Las Vegas resident followed that up with hammer strikes until referee Jason Herzog had no choice but to step in.
