Opening up UFC Fight Night 156 was a women's flyweight bout between Veronica Macedo and Polyana Viana. The fight found its way to the ground early, where many thought Viana, a former jiu-jitsu world champion, might have held the advantage. However, Macedo was able to lock up a quick armbar to force the early tap.
The victory is Macedo's first under the UFC banner after dropping three-straight.
Viana has now dropped three-straight since August of 2018.
