Nick Ertl vs Anthony Rios
Nick Ertl defeated Anthony Rios by Decision (Unanimous) 5:00 2R
The next fight featured Caesar Gracie Jiu-jitsu Fighter Nick Ertle Jr. fighting newcomer Albert Rios. Ertles experience would prove to be too much for Rios here. This fight went everywhere, and was a good demonstration of the seasoned Ertles skills. After a nice leg kick by Nick which spun his opponent around, Rios got a big slam. After a short stint on the mat, Ertle showed his judo skills by executing a nice throw, landing in side control. He put on a position clinic in the cage, moving from knee on stomach to north-south, finishing with a guillotine attempt as Rios tried to stand up. The fight went back and forth from the ground to the feet, with both fighters reversing and exchanging. Rios landed a good shot at the bell, but it wasnt enough to win the first round. The second was more of the first, as Ertle got numerous takedowns, where he would pass Alberts guard into side control, and deliver numerous knees to the face and liver of Rios. This was enough for Nick Ertle to get the unanimous decision, and it also made this a very good technical fight.
