Marlon Vera and Davey Grant have some unfinished business to settle.

More than five years after their first encounter resulted in a unanimous decision for Grant, the two bantamweight hopefuls will rematch each other in a UFC on ESPN 25 showcase this Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Vera has posted six wins in his past eight outings. The Team Oyama standout last competed at UFC Fight Night 183, where he surrendered a unanimous verdict to the great Jose Aldo. Grant, meanwhile, enters the cage on a three-fight winning streak. “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 18 finalist last appeared at UFC Fight Night 187 in March, when he punched out Jonathan Martinez a little more than three minutes into the second round.

As Vera and Grant make final preparations for the second meeting in their head-to-head series, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

28: Years of age for Vera, who was born on Dec. 2, 1992 in Chone, Ecuador.

6: Vera victories by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 38% of his career total (16). His list of victims includes Sean O’Malley, Andre Ewell, Frankie Saenz and Brad Pickett. Vera holds eight other victories by submission and two more by decision.

11: Submission attempts from Vera as a member of the Ultimate Fighting Championship roster, tying him with Aljamain Sterling for fourth on the promotion’s all-time list at 135 pounds. Only Rani Yahya (13), Alex Caceres (12) and T.J. Dillashaw (12) have tried more.

4: Post-fight bonuses pocketed by Vera across his 16 appearances in the UFC. He has been awarded “Performance of the Night” three times and “Fight of the Night” once, resulting in $200,000 of additional income.

168: Combined victories between the seven men—Grant, Aldo, Yadong Song, Douglas Silva de Andrade, John Lineker, Marco Beltran and Bruno Leandro Soares Lobato—who have defeated Vera. The sport a cumulative record of 168-60-2 (.730).

35: Years of age for Grant, who was born in Bishop Auckland, England, on Dec. 18, 1985.

8: Submission wins on the Grant resume, accounting for 62% of his career total (13). His methods of choice: four rear-naked chokes, three guillotine chokes and one triangle choke. Grant owns three other wins by knockout or technical knockout and two more by decision.

1,065: Days since Grant last experienced a defeat. After being choked unconscious by a Manny Bermudez triangle at UFC Fight Night 134 on July 22, 2018, he has rattled off consecutive victories over Grigory Popov, Martin Day and the aforementioned Martinez.

75: Significant strikes by which Grant has outlanded the opposition in his four UFC wins. He has connected on 224 such strikes while absorbing only 149 in return.
