Bantamweights Said Nurmagomedov, Raoni Barcelos to Clash at UFC 237 in Rio de Janeiro

A bantamweight clash pitting Said Nurmagomedov against Raoni Barcelos has been added to the UFC 237 lineup.

Promotion officials announced the matchup on Monday. UFC 237 takes place at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro on May 10 and features a strawweight championship tilt between Rose Namajunas and Jessica Andrade.

Nurmagomedov enters the bout on a seven-fighting winning streak that includes a pair of victories in UFC competition. Most recently, the 26-year-old Dagestani vanquished Ricardo Ramos with a spinning back kick and punches in the first-round at UFC Fight Night 144 in Fortaleza, Brazil, on Feb. 2.

Barcelos, meanwhile, is unbeaten in his last six contests. He debuted in the Octagon with a third-round knockout of Kurt Holobaugh at UFC Fight Night 133 before choking out Chris Gutierrez at “The Ultimate Fighter 28” finale.
