Chris Daukaus-Parker Porter Heavyweight Tilt Beefs Up UFC 252 Lineup

Chris Daukaus will forego an opportunity to vie for the Cage Fury Fighting Championships heavyweight title in order to make his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut opposite Parker Porter at UFC 252 on Aug. 15 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. MMAJunkie.com on Wednesday was first to report the pairing.

Training out of Martinez BJJ in Philadelphia, Daukaus last fought at CFFC 77, where he cut down Danny Holmes with a head kick 90 seconds into the first round of their Aug. 16, 2019 encounter. The 30-year-old has rattled off six victories across his past seven appearances, losing only to Dana White’s Contender Series graduate Azunna Anyanwu. Daukaus has delivered seven of his eight career wins by knockout or technical knockout.

Porter finds himself on a modest two-fight winning streak in advance of his first Octagon assignment. The 35-year-old Bellator MMA alum last competed at CES MMA 58 in September, when he wiped out Dirlei Broenstrup with third-round punches. Porter operates out of the Underdog Mixed Martial Arts gym in West Hartford, Connecticut.
