A welterweight clash pitting Derek Anderson against Guilherme Vasconcelos has been added to the Bellator 229 card.
Sherdog.com confirmed the matchup with a promotion official on Tuesday. Bellator 229 takes place at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif., on Oct. 4 and features a welterweight clash between Andrey Koreshkov and Lorenz Larkin.
A nine-time Bellator veteran, Anderson has won three of his last four appearances within the California-based promotion. Most recently, Anderson outpointed Zak Bucia at Bellator 197 in April 2018.
Vasconcelos, meanwhile, owns a 3-2 Bellator record. The 33-year-old Brazilian known as “Bomba” is coming off a unanimous decision defeat against David Rickels at Bellator 210 this past November.
