World Series of Fighting will hold its first women’s fight sometime in the near future.

The promotion announced on Monday via Twitter that it has signed Bellator veteran Jessica Aguilar. The deal was first reported by MMAFighting.com. Aguilar’s WSOF debut is expected to come early in 2014 against an as-yet-undetermined opponent.

The 31-year-old known as “Jag” is currently riding a seven-fight winning streak. In her last outing, she took a technical decision over the retiring Megumi Fujii at Vale Tudo Japan 3rd. Aguilar posted a 5-1 record while competing for Bellator, including triumphs over Carla Esparza, Lisa Ellis and Fujii. Her lone defeat came against Zoila Frausto Gurgel at Bellator 31.

Aguilar received her Bellator release when the promotion elected to dissolve its women’s division earlier this year.
