By Tristen Critchfield Apr 13, 2017

The Legacy Fighting Alliance 9 headliner will move forward as planned, as both Myron Dennis and Danilo Marques made weight ahead of their light heavyweight duel.

Dennis tipped the scales at 204 pounds, while Marques checked in at 205 pounds during Thursday’s weigh-ins. LFA 9 takes place at FireLake Arena in Shawnee, Okla., on Friday night and will also see Demoreo Dennis (237) battle Don’Tale Mayes (260) in the heavyweight co-main event. The card airs on AXS-TV beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Dennis owns a 12-5 career mark but is coming off a loss to Evan Nedd at Redemption Fighting Championship 3 this past October. “The Future” has finished nine of his victories inside the distance and owns a notable triumph over UFC veteran Paul Buentello.

Marques, meanwhile, has lost just once in eight professional outings. The Brazilian last competed at Curitiba Top Fight 10 on Feb. 24, where he submitted Lorival Lourenco Jr. with a rear-naked choke in the second round. Marques has finished all of his triumphs by knockout, technical knockout or submission.
