“Kayla will be the biggest female star in history, I’m telling you… It’s just a matter of time, like it’s happened to Khabib, nobody wanna fight him, happened to Islam Makhachev and now they’ve become the pound-for-pound king,” Abdelaziz told Submission Radio. “You have to understand, the last three guys who’s the pound-for-pound no. 1 — Kamaru Usman, we picking fights in hotel lobbies to get him fights. He become the pound-for-pound No. 1. Khabib, we crashing press conference arguing with people to fight people. Khabib become the pound-for-pound. Islam, nobody want to fight him, become the pound-for-pound. Kayla, same thing.”
Harrison scored a dominant second-round submission win over former champ Holly Holm in her promotional debut at UFC 300 in April. Frustrated with UFC bantamweight women allegedly ducking Harrison since, Abdelaziz satirically called for the former Professional Fighters League lightweight queen to face some male opponents next. According to the Dominance MMA CEO, Harrison can beat former UFC bantamweight champ Aljamain Sterling, No. 1 contender Merab Dvalishvili, Rob Font and others.
“Merab or Aljamain Sterling. I think it’s very competitive fight. It’s not fair,” he said. “Honestly because none of these girls want to fight her, let’s fight somebodyat 135. Let’s fight Rob Font. I think her wrestling is too good for Rob Font. It’s not even a fair fight. Or maybe this Brazilian guy, what’s his name, former champion [Deiveson Figueiredo or Jose Aldo]. I think she will smash all these guys, honestly.”
