Odds Released for ‘Fight Island’ Championship Bouts, Miocic-Cormier Trilogy

After a slew of major fight announcements in the past couple days, initial odds on some of this summer’s key bouts have been released by BetOnline.

That includes a pair of newly announced championship tilts for UFC 251 on “Fight Island,” which on Tuesday was revealed to be in Abu Dhabi. Reigning welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has opened as a -260 favorite against the surging Gilbert Burns (+220), while Alexander Volkanovski checks in at -200 in his featherweight title rematch with Max Holloway (+175). Odds for Petr Yan vs. Jose Aldo were not available as of this writing.

Meanwhile, heavyweight king Stipe Miocic opened as a slight -125 favorite over Daniel Cormier (+105) in their trilogy bout, which is set for UFC 252 on August 15. By Tuesday afternoon, odds on Miocic vs. Cormier were even.

Finally, Irene Aldana was tabbed as a -125 favorite in her UFC Fight Night headlining bout against former bantamweight champion Holly Holm (+105) on Aug. 1.
