The Professional Fighters League is coming out with a new MMA-centered series with boxing legend Mike Tyson to break down the fight game.

The series, titled "Mike Tyson's New Fight Game: The PFL," will be filmed at Tyson Ranch, which is where he also produces his talk show "Hotboxin with Mike Tyson." With the PFL, Tyson will be joined by regular guests both in and out of the sport, and the inaugural episode will bring in Sean O'Connell, play-by-play commentator and 2018 light heavyweight king. According to the press release on Thursday, the show will "provide fighter perspective, inside analysis, and irreverent discussion never before experienced in combat sports." The first episode will air on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT online on sites such as YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

Of the new arrangement, Tyson stated, "I'm attracted to the fight model of PFL because they empower their fighters. PFL is leading MMA into the future and I'm excited to be a part of this conversation."

CEO of PFL Peter Murray was elated at the opportunity, explaining, "This new PFL series takes you inside the fighter journey through the eyes of the most iconic warrior of our generation. The PFL has the toughest fighters in the world as they must fight twice and win twice in the same night in the PFL Playoffs to advance to the PFL Championship. How did they get to this point? What is going on in their minds? There is no one better to dive into these fighter stories than Mike Tyson."

Donn Davis, co-founder and chairman of PFL, was equally excited, where he said, "Nobody on earth has experienced fighting and life like Mike Tyson. He brings one-of-a-kind insights to recruiting great fighters and promoting great fights." Advertisement
