Sage Northcutt to Make One Championship Debut on May 17 in Singapore

Former UFC talent Sage Northcutt will make his One Championship debut against Cosmo Alexandre on May 17 in Singapore.

Northcutt announced the bout during a media event in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The fight will be contested at 185 pounds, which is classified as welterweight under One rules. Northcutt competed at 170 and 155 pounds during his UFC tenure.

Northcutt’s UFC contract was not renewed following an eight-bout tenure with the Las Vegas-based promotion. “Super” Sage ended his run in the Octagon on a three-fight winning streak that included triumphs over Zak Ottow, Thibault Gouti and Michel Quinones. The 22-year-old Northcutt went 6-2 in the UFC and is 11-2 as a professional overall.

Alexandre, 36, hasn’t fought since September 2016. The Brazilian went 5-1 in Bellator from 2011 to 2012. “Good Boy” has gone 1-1 in two kickboxing bouts under the One banner.
