Tony Ferguson is the type of guy to make weight even when his Ultimate Fighting Championship event is canceled.

It has not been stated whether those scheduled to compete at the canceled event will be compensated, although some fighters that were set to fight at previous shows claimed on social media that they were indeed paid by the UFC. UFC President Dana White did explain that all of his fighters would be taken care of, and that they will all still receive all the fights specified on their contracts.

The UFC is planning on returning on May 9 with a mega card featuring three championship fights and several matchups with top-ranked fighters. That scheduled card, which currently has no location determined, would be headlined by the rescheduled Ferguson vs. Gaethje interim title clash.
