Isfak Seyid funneled another unwitting victim into his traps.
Merciless clinches, opportunistic takedowns, bulletproof submission defense and punishing ground-and-pound carried the unbeaten Turkish prospect to a unanimous decision over Felipe Negochadle in a three-round ONE Friday Fights 64 bantamweight showcase on Friday at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. All three ringside judges gave the nod to Seyid (6-0, 2-0 ONE), who once again impressed on the ONE Championship stage.
Almost hypnotized by his counterpartās oppressive style, Negochadle (6-2, 0-1 ONE) found himself in a constant state of retreat. He rolled into a heel hook and kneebar attempt in the second round, then managed to scramble into top position in the third before briefly climbing to full mount. The Vietnam-based Brazilian was otherwise ineffective. Seyid crowded him in close quarters, incorporated takedowns when the mood struck and piled up points with his ground-and-pound. A successful double-leg with roughly 15 seconds left on the clock in Round 3 tied the bow on his latest triumph.
The setback snapped a six-fight winning streak for Negochadle.
