UFC 132 Medical Suspensions: 6 Fighters Out up to 6 Months

Six fighters could be out up to six months following their performances at UFC 132 on Saturday night.

Sherdog.com received the event’s medical suspension information from the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Tuesday, which confirmed that both Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber have been suspended until Dec. 30 following their back-and-forth bantamweight title headliner at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Joining Cruz and Faber on the list of those dealt six-month suspensions are Dong Hyun Kim, Shane Roller, Brian Bowles and Anthony Njokuani. However, each of the fighters suspended until Dec. 30 may be cleared early by a physician. Regardless, Faber, Kim and Roller must sit out until Aug. 17 at the minimum, while Bowles must stay on the sideline until at least Aug. 2. Cruz and Njokuani were not handed minimum suspensions.

UFC 132 medical suspensions:

Dominick Cruz: Suspended until Dec. 30 and must have right hand X-rayed; may be cleared early by physician.

Urijah Faber: Suspended until Dec. 30 and must have right hand/wrist, right shoulder and chest X-rayed; may be cleared early by physician; minimum suspension until Aug. 17, no contact until Aug. 2.

Wanderlei Silva: Suspended until Sept. 1 for knockout, no contact until Aug. 17.

Dennis Siver: Suspended until Aug. 17 for forehead lacerations, no contact until Aug. 2.

Ryan Bader: Suspended until July 25, no contact until July 17.

Dong Hyun Kim: Suspended until Dec. 30 for right orbital fracture; may be cleared early by physician; minimum suspension until Sept. 1, no contact until Aug. 17.

Shane Roller: Suspended until Dec. 30 for right orbital fracture; may be cleared early by physician; minimum suspension until Sept. 1, no contact until Aug. 17.

Melvin Guillard: Suspended until July 24 for laceration on lower right eye.

George Sotiropoulos: Suspended until Sept. 1 for knockout, no contact until Aug. 17.

Brian Bowles: Suspended until Dec. 30 and must have right hand X-rayed; may be cleared early by physician; minimum suspension until Aug. 2, no contact until July 24.

Brad Tavares: Suspended until Aug. 2 for left eyebrow laceration, no contact until July 24.

Andre Winner: Suspended until Aug. 2 for facial bruising, no contact until July 24.

Anthony Njokuani: Suspended until Dec. 30 for lower left leg contusion; may be cleared early by physician; also chipped lower right tooth.

Donny Walker: Suspended until Aug. 2 for right eyebrow laceration, no contact until July 24.
